Privacy Policy for TrueVibe

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the data required to provide our "Vibe Match" social services. We collect it (a) when you give it to us, (b) automatically when you use the app, and (c) through device permissions you allow.

A. Account Information (you provide)

• Account Details: Name, email address, and password (stored securely; we never see your password in plain text).
• Demographics: Date of birth (for age verification) and gender.
• Location You Enter: Your current city and hometown. City search is powered by a maps service; we do not collect your precise GPS location.

B. Personality & Lifestyle Data (core functionality)

• Personality Quiz: Answers and results based on the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) model.
• Lifestyle Quiz: Everyday habits (e.g., eating style, sleeping patterns, daily routine, and life goals).
• This data is used for our matching features only. We do not sell it to advertisers.

C. Optional Profile Details

• Profile Information: Bio, work, education, languages, relationship status, what you are looking for, love language, pets, and religion — only if you choose to add them.
• Blood Group: You may add your blood group. This is completely optional. It is used only to show a "Vibe Match" badge on profile cards and serves no medical purpose. We do not sell, trade, or share it with advertisers or marketing agencies.
• Phone Number: Only if you turn on Two-Factor Authentication, so we can send you a verification code by SMS.

D. Content You Create

• Social Activity: Posts, photos, videos, Vibes, comments, reactions, and shares.
• Messages: Chats between users. Messages are protected in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and by strict database access rules, but they are not end-to-end encrypted.
• Connections & Safety Actions: Your connections and requests, and the reports and blocks you make.

E. Information Collected Automatically

• Sign-up IP & Approximate Location: When you create an account, we record your IP address and use an IP lookup service to derive your approximate country and city. We use this only for security, fraud and bot prevention, and account protection. This is not your precise GPS location.
• Activity Status: When you were last active and whether you are online (you can turn off Active Status in Settings).
• Device Information: A push notification token for your device and identifiers of devices you trust for Two-Factor Authentication.

F. Device Permissions

• Camera: To take photos for your posts, Vibes, and profile or cover picture.
• Photos / Gallery: To choose photos and videos to upload, and to save media only when you choose to.
• Microphone: Only when you record a video with sound.
• Notifications: To send you alerts about activity, messages, and requests.
• You can deny or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

G. Advertising

We use Google AdMob to show advertisements. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID, or on iOS the advertising identifier only if you allow tracking), ad interaction data (e.g., impressions and clicks), and diagnostics to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud. 2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the Service: Create and run your account, show your profile, feed, Vibes, messages, and connections.
• Vibe Match: Use your personality and lifestyle answers to suggest compatible connections.
• Safety & Integrity: Prevent fake accounts, spam, and fraud; review reports; enforce our Terms of Service.
• Account Security: Two-Factor Authentication, suspicious login detection, and protecting your account.
• Notifications: Send alerts about activity, messages, and connection requests (you can control these in Settings).
• Advertising: Show ads that help keep TrueVibe free.
• Legal Obligations: Comply with applicable laws and valid legal requests.

3. What Other Users Can See

Your name, profile picture, cover photo, personality type, and the posts and Vibes you share can be seen by other users according to your settings. You can control who sees your connections, "About" details, birth date, profile and cover photos, Active Status, and who can send you requests in Settings > Privacy and Settings > Visibility. Blocked users cannot see your profile or contact you.

4. How We Share Information

We never sell your personal data. We share information only in these cases:

• Service Providers: Trusted companies that help us run TrueVibe — cloud hosting and database, media storage (photos and videos), push notifications, SMS verification, maps/location search, and IP-based location lookup at sign-up. They process data only on our behalf and only to provide their service.
• Advertising Partner: Google AdMob, as described in Section 1G.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order), or to protect the safety of our users.

Every third party with whom we share user data is required to provide the same or equal protection of your data as described in this Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

• While your account is active: We keep your information as long as needed to provide the service.
• Notifications: Activity notifications are automatically deleted after 30 days.
• Deactivation: You can temporarily deactivate your account in Settings > Account Management > Deactivate Account. Your profile is hidden until you log back in.
• Account Deletion: You can delete your account in Settings > Account Management > Delete Account. Your account is first scheduled for deletion and you have 90 days to change your mind by logging back in. After 90 days, your profile, posts, photos, and personal data are permanently deleted from our servers.
• Backups: Copies in secure backups may remain for a limited period for technical reasons and are not accessible for any other use.
• Request by Email: You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing [email protected].

6. Your Choices & Rights

• Access & Edit: View and update your profile information at any time.
• Privacy Settings: Hide your profile picture, cover photo, and other details, and control Active Status and who can contact you.
• Notifications: Turn notification types on or off in Settings or your device settings.
• Permissions: Revoke camera, photos, microphone, or notification access in your device settings.
• Personality Retest: Retake the Personality Test once every 6 months via Settings.
• Withdraw Consent: You can stop using TrueVibe and delete your account at any time (see Section 5).

7. Security

We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), strict access rules on our database so users can only access what they are allowed to, and secure storage for your password. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

8. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may store and process data in countries other than your own. When this happens, we make sure your data remains protected as described in this Privacy Policy.

9. Children's Privacy

TrueVibe is restricted to users aged 13 and above (or the applicable legal age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Application features or legal requirements. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
